Born and raised in Torrington Connecticut found her passion for food at young age. Growing up in a Italian home where you were never left hungry,Renee always found comfort in the kitchen. Cooking along side her grandmother and mother she then learned how passionate she was for food and the energy that came long with it.
In 2005 Renee decided to follow her dreams and attend culinary school in Burlington Vermont. She studied at New England Culinary Institute for two years, and later returned back to Connecticut. Starting from the bottom to the top Renee worked her way up from Grande manger to sous chef at several different restaurants and clubs. Along the way she had the privilege of working along side fellow cooks absorbing all the knowledge she could while making great friends she now considers family.
In April of 2014 Renee decided to expand her knowledge and personal growth at Fire box,with motivation from a great friend/ mentor Edward Jones. As sous chef shes never been more excited to work along side a great team of love and dedication for food, and giving back to the Billings Forge Community. When not in the kitchen you can find Renee in the woods hiking the trails, or kayaking on the great waters of New England.
